Calla (a.k.a. Calla Faeria/Calla “Frutti” the Clown) is a Los Angeles-based performance artist who explores nonbinary identity and sexuality through whimsical, sexy, playful drag and clown performances.

Since 2020, Calla’s work has been staged across Southern California events including; West Hollywood Pride, DTLA Pride, OutLoud Festival, Culver City Pride, and Santa Ana Pride. Their work has also been staged at acclaimed LGBT+ nightlife establishments like Micky’s West Hollywood, Revolver West Hollywood, Precinct DTLA and VERS Bar Albuquerque. Their original drag show, Faerialand, had a two-year residency in West Hollywood between Mattie’s WeHo (2023-2024) and Beaches Tropicana (2024-2025), and later developed into a nonprofit organization.

Calla performed at the Hammer Museum in 2023, with resident-artist Page Person, in their piece, Tipping Points: The Brick . Calla received their B.A. in Performance Arts (Choreography) from the University of California, Davis in 2015.

In 2022, Calla launched Faerialand, an original drag show in their backyard. Originally created to provide a platform for Transgender and Nonbinary drag artists to wokrshop original ideas, the space grew into a beloved Queer third-space, and by 2026 the show formally transitioned into a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

The mission of Faerialand is to
“Build a sustainable future, where queer leadership thrives!” and continues in Calla’s artistic vision of leveraging her art and skills to expand Trans and Queer storytelling.
